The Supplier Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading projects within the Strategic Sourcing organization that are focused on reducing the environmental impact of the goods and services we buy in alignment with the TWDC environmental goals and targets. Most of these projects involve a great deal of interaction with the various Strategic Sourcing teams across the globe, our worldwide Supplier base and our internal Client group.


  • Achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions for direct operations and working with our suppliers for Scope 3 Emission reductions.
  • Collaborating with industry groups and our suppliers in identifying opportunities in low carbon fuel.
  • Work with current supplier base in identifying products, processes, services and technologies that may reduce water usage on property.
  • Serving 100% environmentally responsible seafood at U.S. Parks and Resorts.
  • Working to achieve zero waste to landfill for our Parks and Resorts by partnering with our suppliers in defining solutions and alternatives to what is currently thrown away. Reduce, reuse, replace, eliminate.
  • Ensure all paper, wood and palm oil used by Disney is from certified sustainable sources.
  • Ensure the textiles we use contain recycled or certified sustainably sourced content, or are made from lower impact alternatives.
  • Reduce the Company’s plastics footprint across our Parks and Resorts by partnering with our suppliers in defining solutions and alternatives to plastics. Reduce, reuse, replace and eliminate.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to adapt communications to variety of leadership across the organization and business areas and can help guide all specialists as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide relevant information and guide clients and sourcing teams to decision points.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain key relationships across sourcing teams, clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Written communication skills must be aligned with supporting executive summaries, presentations and other materials; includes a proficient knowledge and skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science or related field.

Preferred Education

Preferred Education
  • MBA or another quantitative discipline
