The Director, Talent Strategy and Influencer Marketing leads talent strategy, relationships, and commercialization of the Disney Digital Network’s portfolio of influencers and creators. Focusing on verticals like gaming, lifestyle, family, and pop culture, this leader will build strong, commercially viable relationships with the top talent on the internet. The ideal candidates has a passion for creators and influencers and understands how to package them into commercial projects that drive our advertising business, casting, and influencer marketing programs for TWDC. He/she will manage and directly advise a team of talent managers and strategists
tasked with building business and relationship opportunities around our roster of creators in the Disney Digital Network and across TWDC.

Responsibilities

The Director, Talent Strategy and Influencer Marketing will be charged with identifying key talent, building and managing relationships with, and developing new strategies to monetize the network talent across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and more. He/she will also serve as a strategic advisor between content creators/influencers and Disney Digital Network
sales, content, technology and marketing teams.

  • Create and deliver compelling influencer marketing campaigns that drive advertising
  • revenue growth
  • Develop programs for creators across all verticals to fit within the broader Disney
  • Digital Network and TWDC businesses
  • Diversify talent revenue streams by identifying opportunities and developing
  • go-to-market plans to expand into products, publishing, gaming, and more
  • Devise and communicate growth strategies for the managers and strategists to
  • employ with their respective talent
  • Build strong relationships with creators across the digital landscape, inclusive of social
  • platforms (i.e. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Musical.ly)
  • Accountable for organic audience creator growth targets and partner satisfaction
  • Oversee special projects to enhance revenue or audience of creators and to build
  • Disney Digital Media's expertise in the short-form content space
  • Work with partnerships team to identify and recruit new creators to the network that
  • are aligned closely with our brand and sponsorship objectives
  • Provide creative development and content format advice in concert with the Co/Op
  • and Production teams
  • Facilitate the negotiation and execution of brand campaigns for partnered content
  • creators
  • Communicate and evangelize creator network capabilities to internal and external
  • partners at all levels

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience developing and executing native advertising programs in partnership with sales team and clients
  • Success in building high-performance teams, motivating and fostering a collaborative, results-driven cross-disciplinary organization
  • Proven relationships with top digital talent and influencers
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in digital media, talent/artist relations, public relations and/or marketing
  • Experience with and knowledge of short-form video platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly, and Snapchat
  • Familiarity with back-end publishing and platform and analytics tools (i.e. FB insights, YouTube Analytics)
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle scope and resources to meet deadlines consistently
  • 7-10 years of experience in the digital media space required
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports
