Job Summary:Chemical Hazards Specialist / Industrial Hygienist M/F
Part of the Occupational Safety & Health Division, the Expert Consultant hub provides support for the occupational physicians, occupational health nurses and occupational risk prevention advisors (a triad system). The department includes several occupational risk experts (toxicologist, ergonomist, organisational psychologist, occupational health and safety expert). Their mission is to assess and advise, at the request of the triad, as well as to propose and steer company health and safety risk prevention strategies.
Responsibilities:Your day-to-day responsibilities
In your role as industrial hygienist, you will be in charge of:
- Analysing safety data sheets and authorising or refusing the use of given products by company employees or outside companies
- Overseeing testing of substitution chemical products
- Performing any metrologies necessary for a given study
- Advising the triad, after analysis, in order to provide solutions for improvement
- Writing or updating reference documents (posters for management, standards for the triad)
- Processing data related to chemical products and substances using constantly evolving IT systems
Basic Qualifications:Do you have the right profile?
You have a 2 or 3-year degree (bac +2 / +3 or equivalent) specialising in industrial hygiene
You have 5 years’ experience in chemical risk management, working in an inter-company department or in an autonomous department of a major corporation
Radiation Protection Personnel (PCR or equivalent) certification is a plus
You are a recognised expert in your sector, demonstrate good communication, analytical and organisational skills, and are comfortable providing chemical risk management advice to a wide range of clients
You enjoy working as part of a team and are able to provide informed input and solutions
You are proficient in Microsoft Office and enjoy working with new computer tools
