Job Summary:

The E-commerce Manager, Benelux is responsible for the market’s number one strategic growth channel (including Amazon NL and BE & as well as key Pure-play retailers).

They will be responsible for:

Fully commercialising the CPGP business across our franchises and categories within the Benelux e-commerce market.
Setting the Benelux e-commerce strategy and commercial plan working alongside key internal stakeholders to agree priorities by franchise and category as reflected in the Benelux AOP.
Identifying new commercial growth opportunities and business models in the e-commerce space.
Working closely with the EMEA e-commerce team on ensuring strategic alignment across all commercial plans to grow the CPGP business at Benelux retail.
Develop and guide Commercial Managers within the team by implementing a Benelux e-commerce CPGP vision and equipping them with the tools and skills needed to enable them to deliver their objectives as effectively as possible and grow their specified retail account(s) omni-channel platforms.
Support the Benelux, Africa and Nordics Retail Leads by helping define the long-term strategic vision of e-commerce in those markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise the overall Benelux CPGP e-commerce strategy: demonstrate a granular understanding of the EMEA category and franchise objectives and goals (as reflected in the Benelux AOP).
  • Build a data-led understanding of accounts and their overarching category and marketing strategies, alongside the key performance indicators. Build relationships with key account stakeholders resulting in the ability to influence senior contacts (EMEA e-commerce, finance, franchise, marketing, partnerships).
  • Lead the e-commerce and digital marketing strategy on Amazon & Pure-play Retailers and fulfilling the role of e-commerce / digital expert.
  • Effectively utilise data and EPOS to determine trends for future commercial gains.
  • Use e-commerce and digital expertise to process shopper, franchise and product data, translating the outputs into meaningful insights, allowing for performance to be accessed and future e-commerce/digital marketing executions to be optimised.
  • Consider all e-commerce and digital touchpoints including mobile commerce and social media as part of delivering upon set goals.
  • Ensure our product base corresponds with our franchise/brand ambitions and where gaps are identified, work with franchise/category teams to create and build the right range to ensure the delivery of all parties’ objectives.
  • Work with the Sales Team, Key Licensees, Amazon and other Key Pure Play e-commerce Retailers to develop account plans to maximise opportunities for TWDC, including trade/campaign support plans, promotions, online space allocations, e-commerce and digital marketing, search (AMS), AMG / Amazon Advertising, e-crm and social marketing, catalogue initiatives, staff programmes, experiential digital and offsite-onsite initiatives etc.
  • Partner with the EMEA e-commerce Performance Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing plans that optimise sell-in/sell-out.
  • Work with licensees where possible to deploy marketing funds into franchise building cross category programs – manage the holistic or collaborative funding process with the sales and category teams.
  • Build robust external relationships with category directors, e-commerce directors and senior buyers at e-commerce retail partners to ensure brand engagement from the top-down with a view to improve our sell-in position.
  • Ownership of the account(s) commercial tracker with weekly updates, sharing and managing the message to wider business/stakeholders.
  • As required, lead initiatives on behalf of the Benelux Commercial team, pro-actively leading team discussions and presenting conclusions to the GM of Nordics, Africa and Benelux.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing and online retail propositions, including a strong understanding of Amazon.
  • Proven Manager level account management experience is essential.
  • Degree level education in a related field and experience in a vertically integrated or licensed business is key.
  • Blue-chip background preferred.
  • Proven experience of building effective senior level relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals.
  • Fluent English, essential.
  • Proven experience of developing the performance of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred e-commerce and digital background, with an understanding of the digital (online) commerce and marketing, including display advertising ecosystems and programmatic marketing.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to contextualise digital initiatives in wider organisation strategies and business planning.
  • Strong presentation skills – able to deliver a compelling message to a varied group (internal and external).
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead a virtual team across different lobs and business models.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships both internally and externally at all levels and across divisions.
  • Can thrive within a large corporate environment, understanding the dynamics and challenges of a matrix organisation.
  • Results-oriented, keen to challenge status quo, introduce new business practices and take calculated risks.
  • Resilient and nimble in an ever-changing landscape.

Additional Information:

  • This role will require flexibility for frequent Benelux travel.
