Job Summary:

The Media Operations Department at Disney Streaming Services consists of agile and

responsive teams of technicians that perform the daily processes and procedures of our live

and on-demand streaming video products. The department’s responsibilities consist of

round-the-clock support for these products, ensuring proper functionality across all


Production Operations is responsible for live/VOD streaming media operations and

fulfillment for various products within DSS. Oversight includes both Linear and Event based

content. In addition, within the Production Operations org sits the Production Service

Operations (PSO) team that oversees issue intake/routing, issue remediation, and

performance/status monitoring.


A qualified Streaming Media Lead is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for

delivering high profile media products to market. By possessing advanced workflow

knowledge and operational experience, this Lead has exceptional and specialized expertise in

an analytical/ scientific method or operational process, typically developed through a

combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. In addition,

responsibilities will include collection and organization of data that drive platforms during

optimal and service-outage incidents, and client and product support as needed, which can

include holidays, nights and weekends.

An Operations Lead will also:

  • Serve as a shift leader

  • Implement guidance in regard to technology improvement and daily operations.

  • Run incident management during service outages

  • Generate procedure documentation

  • Provide operational efficiency feedback to leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in a technical field directly related to delivery of video on the web.

  • Executes protocols under Incident Management process for critical service outage.

  • Ensures proper communication with all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exhibits broad skills in data synthesis and data processes

  • Has expert knowledge of technological components utilized by this organization

  • Ability to implement improvements in regard to data and technology, as communicated by Supervisor

  • Ability to construct workflow requirements and ensure that team members understand documentation and troubleshooting procedures

  • Ability to serve as an Incident Manager during Sev1-2 Incidents
