- This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.

Job Summary:

Asset Management is responsible for the tracking of assets in operation and the disposition of assets removed from service, as well as ensuring the necessary approvals are received, financial entries are booked and any additional Company policies and internal control guidelines are enforced.

This Associate will conduct physical audits of Company assets that are in use throughout the Disneyland Resort and surrounding areas. The associate will also provide additional support to other team members in a fast paced environment by receiving, sorting, tracking, and shipping of assets from all aspects of the DPEP business.

This associate will learn and perform a variety of functions within the team. The expectations of this associate includes, but is not limited to: operational and office support, inventory control, 3rd- party vendor support, Guest service, and project management.

This is a part time position expected to work up to 29 hours a week. This operation is primarily active M-F from 6:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional weekend availability required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical audits in varied work conditions, including warehouses, kitchens, office buildings, and outdoor spaces.

  • Track and report audit results to the Capital Asset team at Disney Worldwide Shared Services.

  • Identify, tag, and update recently capitalized assets.

  • Submit asset modification and retirement requests to maintain accuracy of asset data, including updates to physical location, description, and asset value for all West Coast Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP) assets.

  • Support the recording, inventorying and tracking of DPEP intellectual property, branded, recognizable and heritage assets in an asset inventory system including, images, dimensions, weights, etc. (30+ attributes tracked).

  • Assist in identification of assets for internal and external disposition including TWDC Archives, TWDC and DPEP locations and 3rd Party Vendors for development of asset transfer/asset catalogues.

  • Collaborate with internal and external project managers, ranging from small cleanouts to large scale demolition and installation projects, with a focus on tracking asset status and location throughout the project, and identifying high risk assets and recommendations for risk mitigation.

  • Identify, build and implement systems and/or processes to increase efficiency.

  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other industrial tools and equipment.

  • Consolidate and analyze 3rd Party consignment reports, and determine fair market valuation for retail and auction pricing strategies.                                                     

  • Occasional rigorous physical activity, including safely moving assets that can weigh more than 800 lbs. using specialized equipment.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners and guests in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Support Resort Environmentality goals through landfill diversion

  • Actively exhibit Disney’s “The Five Keys”.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong problem solving skills, particularly when it comes to identifying where an asset might be physically located based on limited data available in multiple systems

  • Experience in an environment with an emphasis on internal controls

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills           

  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop positive, effective relationships with other departments/business partners

  • Excel and Office Suite

  • Project Management experience

  • Must have weekend availability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift operating experience

  • Industrial and kitchen equipment knowledge

  • Audio visual equipment knowledge

  • Computer hardware knowledge

  • Smartsheet or other spreadsheet tools

  • SharePoint

  • Leadership experience

Preferred Education:

  • AA or Bachelor’s Degree
