Job Summary:

This position is for an Attractions Operational Technology (AOT) Cybersecurity Team Leader. We're looking for someone who displays strong leadership capabilities, technical skills, and project management. As a Cybersecurity Team Lead, you will oversee 6-10 Cybersecurity Specialists at the Disneyland Resort. These specialists cover a range of cybersecurity services including network security architecture, vulnerability management, and security monitoring and response to implement security solutions in Disneyland’s existing and incoming control systems and align with company and attractions policy. You will be expected to mentor, guide, and develop a world-class cybersecurity team while still remaining hands-on, contributing to the team’s production.


  • Prioritize and assign tasks for your direct reports ensuring that the priority aligns with the domestic AOT cybersecurity program goals and industry/Disney best practices and policy
  • Write and provide Cast Member performance evaluations and give routine feedback
  • Foster relationships with leaders from peer cybersecurity and cyber-related teams to align efforts both domestically and internationally
  • Work with Cast Members to develop cybersecurity skillsets and achieve career goals
  • Stay current on industry trends and technological advancement
  • Translate industry best practices into Disney policies and lead technical craft and other engineers around cybersecurity policy
  • Serve as technical liaison to help inform and guide peer engineering disciplines and upper management
  • Conduct and contribute to day-to-day maintenance, administration, and operations of attractions OT cybersecurity solutions
  • Develop project scope around cybersecurity needs as dictated by policy and as constrained by the capital program
  • Manage scope for attraction reliability and security improvement efforts – design, install, test, document, and closeout
  • Forecast, track, and manage funding for labor, software, and hardware expenditures

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of troubleshooting, maintaining, or operating cybersecurity or similar operational technology solutions
  • Experience supervising, managing or guiding technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strategic priorities for the organization
  • Experience balancing various stakeholder expectations while maintaining composure and overall situational awareness
  • Proficient in all forms of business communications, especially when conveying technical details to a non-technical audience
  • Proficient with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, Jira, and Gitlab
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings
    • Occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays will be required at times

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an entertainment venue or attractions/theme park industry
  • Prior experience or a strong understanding of how to approach network security within an OT/ICS environment
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, networks, and protocols in industrial routers, switches, and firewalls

Required Education

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, related Software or Electrical Engineering field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

  • MS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, related Software or Electrical Engineering field or equivalent work experience
  • 1 or more OT/ICS or cybersecurity leadership certification including GSTRT, CISMM, CCISO, CISM, CISSP concentrations, or other relevant certifications
  • 1 or more general security certifications including Security+, CySA+, GSEC, CASP+, CISSP, or other relevant certifications
