Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) is looking for an Electrical Designer/Draftsperson to support the development and sustainment of the electrical distribution systems throughout the Disneyland Resort. Our department supports the facility, attractions, entertainment, foods, and merchandise maintenance teams. You will support maintenance teams, minor system modifications and immediate response efforts.
The objective of this position is to update facility drawings through drawing research and field verification. These drawings include electrical one-line diagrams, equipment layout and elevation drawings, motor control drawings, system control drawings etc.
This role also involves close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and multiple Disney project teams including FAM, WDI, Entertainment, and Operations.
You will report to the Manager, Utility and Sustaining Engineering within Disneyland Resort’s Architecture & Facilities Engineering Team.
Responsibilities
Perform site visits for the retrieval of field data and the verification existing drawings including details, measurements, existing conditions, product data.
Coordinate and execute the update and correction of electrical one-line drawings, equipment layout and elevation drawings, motor control drawings, system control drawings etc.
Help develop and maintain design standards.
Help direct and coordinate all photo documentation required to record existing conditions, prototypes, and completed projects.
Assist with the management of the design resource library.
Assist engineers and designers and needed to resolve design compliance issues relating to electrical system’s requirements. Validate that all Item Specifications are consistent with products installed before archiving manuals.
Research availability of As-Built Drawings in Disneyland Archives.
Basic Qualifications
Familiar with California Electrical code, IEEE electrical low voltage (Brown, Buff and Red book), California energy code (i.e., Title 24), able to develop concepts, further and enhance electrical safety practices, procedures within electrical engineering design, implementation, and provide overall discipline stewardship.
Minimum of five years of work experience in related engineering discipline with related field experience.
Minimum of five years of AutoCAD experience with electrical drawing creation and modification.
Preferred Education
BS Engineering from an ABET or ACCSC accredited university.

The hiring range for this position in location is $70,000.00 to $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
