- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

The Education & Development Specialist ensures that all Marketing and related Business Development projects are completed on time, on budget and on scope. This position will serve as a liaison among business units, TWDC partner organizations and the Marketing/BD team. The Education & Development Specialist is responsible for developing education related project timelines, ensuring appropriate resources are allocated, train Member Education & Development Advocates on facilitation, and that quality standards are met. This position manages surveys and creates status reports and other reporting as needed. Education and Development vendor management is an important responsibility of the role, ensuring related vendors provide the level of service and products required. Finally this position manages the sales and fulfillment leads that are developed through Business Development activities and efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a master education project lists database.
    • Monitor production of marketing and business development projects and track progress, ensuring projects are completed on time and per specification.
  • Report on the status of work being performed and provides reporting to management as needed.
  • Manage and monitor vendors as related to the Member Education & Development teams unesuring the best product, timeliness, responsiveness, and appropriate pricing for services provided.
  • Coordinate all sessions, book rooms, train the trainers, and step in to facilitate as a backup when needed.
  • Meet with individual Marketing team members weekly and discuss status of projects.
  • Ensure the Education products provided to internal divisions for implementation is high quality and provides the needed information.
  • Manage all sales and fulfillment leads that are generated through Business Development activity and efforts for a smooth and effective handoff of new members. Send leads to appropriate departments and individuals to ensure maximum opportunity for new or increased business development.
  • Assist in improving and refining communication opportunities between coasts.
  • Provide support, including personal attendance, if necessary, for on-site and off-site Business Development events.
  • Assist with training staff on marketing initiatives as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Marketing, specifically in training and education
  • Adobe Professional Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Database and spreadsheet software including MS Excel and Access
  • Public speaking experience
  • Education or Workshop Facilitation experience
  • Experience in working with and managing vendors
  • Knowledge of retail banking, specifically credit unions
  • Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, and analyze marketing assets including but not limited to presentations, emails, etc. Must have the ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must have the ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
  • Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form. Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong partnering, organizational, problem solving, and sales skills are required. Must have the ability to think creatively, and must be flexible with time and travel. Must be able to communicate with people at all managerial levels, and must enjoy working with the public.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication abilities, strong writing and editing ability are required.
  • Strong EQ, able to develop rapport with training participants and sponsor organization executives and managers.
  • Ability to create curriculum design from start to finish; concept, research, write, support, deliver, review.
  • Flexible and able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Understanding of data management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Project and/or other Project Management software applications
  • Basecamp software

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Post Graduate Degree

Additional Information:

The Education & Development Specialist works independently as well as in a team setting, must be able to make decisions regarding management level meetings to hold and locations to host events. The Education & Development Specialist must consistently display professionalism, teamwork, reliability, adaptability, strong product knowledge, and good judgment.
