The Sales Strategy Manager leads holistic sales strategy development and business development opportunities across sales channels, with a specific focus on Walt Disney Parks and Resorts products and services. This role is one of the most senior individual contributor manager roles available in the organization and has significant strategic responsibility. The ideal candidate is competent, confident, self-directed, and comfortable communicating to leaders at all levels in the organization.


This role is responsible for developing business strategies and plans that align with organizational growth goals, and driving recommendations to optimize channel performance, revenue generation opportunities and maximizing the Guest experience.
  • Identify, define, develop and communicate strategies rooted in consumer insights to deliver business goals and drive revenue for domestic and international Walt Disney Parks & Resorts sales teams
  • Support leadership team by developing strategic points of view and collaborating with partners to drive decision making.
  • Develop revenue generation opportunities with a focus on providing support to Sales executives, helping develop new opportunities (products, services, partnerships) and successfully integrating these initiatives into the existing organization
  • Assess the market environment, identify gaps/opportunities, build the business case, ensure operational feasibility and efficiency of new opportunities
  • Effectively communicate opportunities and tailor communications to the audience (Executives, Managers, Peer Groups, Internal and External Partners)
  • Proactively drive strategic opportunities, act as a cross-functional partner, providing leadership on sales strategy
  • Partner extensively with Sales, CIMA, Consumer Marketing and other LOBs acting as a key integration point for Sales
  • Build strong partnerships to facilitate work with the ability to prioritize projects in a fast pace environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales strategy, marketing strategy, product development, or financial analysis / analytical role
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical acumen (e.g. statistical/financial analysis, business case development)
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and business planning skills
  • Proven experience supporting strategic initiatives focused on business growth and development
  • Sense of urgency to move projects forward
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal / presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and clearly define business opportunities
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and integrate their needs.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced business and display professionalism and confidence in complex situations.
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel and / or hospitality industry experience in a sales or marketing role
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales strategy, marketing strategy, product development or financial analysis / analytical role
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Sales and Marketing

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business field (e.g. Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing), or equivalent experience

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
