The Walt Disney Company’s Corporate Legal Department at the Disneyland Resort is seeking an experienced executive assistant to support the Chief Counsel for Disneyland and Disney’s international parks and resorts, as well as the Deputy Chief Counsel, head of legal at Disneyland and the other attorneys and paralegals on the Disneyland Resort Legal team. We are looking for a forward-thinking, energetic, upbeat and reliable person who can support the team over a wide range of issues, has strong organizational and communication skills, can handle domestic and international scheduling and travel planning, and will exercise discretion and the highest level of ethics in connection with confidential information. The executive assistant will also provide back-up for other assistants at Disneyland. The executive assistant also will work closely with the Disneyland Risk Management team. Finally, the executive assistant will work with the legal team leaders and legal teams at all of our international resorts, as well as with the senior Resort leaders and assistants at each resort location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones, maintaining Outlook calendars and contact lists (including scheduling meetings and calls across domestic and international time zones); faxing, photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents; booking travel; preparing expense reports; tracking matters and key dates; entering attorney time in Serengeti

  • Revising and redlining Word documents; drafting or revising and maintaining records of legal correspondence; organizing emails and documents for appropriate filing; assisting in preparation of PowerPoint presentations; preparing and updating Excel spreadsheets (including data entry)

  • Maintaining various files, databases, and filing systems for the supported attorneys

  • Assisting in review, analysis and reconciliation of invoices and expenses billed by outside counsel and vendors

This position requires collaboration with other assistants, paralegals and attorneys in the legal department, as well as international business leaders and assistants. Applicants should have a cooperative work style, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude regarding problem solving, and must be flexible to adjust and work with the demands of varying time zones.

The qualifications and attributes of the successful candidate are:

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting executives in a senior corporate or legal position

  • Experience supporting several executives at one time and appropriately balancing priorities

  • Experience supporting attorneys in a large law firm or multi-national corporate legal department is a plus

  • Proven proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to assure successful interaction with all levels of employees and external contacts

  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to multi-task optimally

  • Willingness and initiative to learn the various business units supported by the Legal team and Disney processes and procedures

  • Responsible, professional demeanor and good judgment, including maintenance of confidentiality

  • Self-directing team player who prioritizes effectively, takes initiative and quickly adapts to changing events while maintaining a positive disposition

  • Sophisticated calendaring and word processing knowledge, including track changes, redlining and comparing documents

  • Proficiency in both MS Windows and Mac OS

  • Familiarity with SAP Workplace, travel planning and Document Management Systems

  • Familiarity with Serengeti Tracker

  • Strong general computer and internet research skills

  • Existing Notary Public or willing to become a Notary

The hiring range for this position in Anahein, CA is $73,390.00 to $98,450.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
