Job Summary:

Consumer Insights, Measurement, & Analytics (CIMA) is a team within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) that is focused on inspiring consumer-centric, data-driven, high return decision making that leverages insights and data at the core of every business decision. Within CIMA, the Marketing Analytics & Insights (MAI) team provides objective assessments of DPEP marketing to inform strategy, understand performance, optimize investment, and maximize business impact. This role within CIMA will support efforts to influence and inform Marketing strategy development and enterprise-wide executive-level decision-making by measuring, analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting a broad spectrum of data, including media effectiveness, sales results, theme park attendance, resort room nights, primary and secondary research findings, and other key business driver metrics. The focus of this role will be major Disneyland Resort business initiatives, marketing programs, ad campaigns, and related efforts. The person must be comfortable working with partners, conducting analyses, preparing reports, and communicating insights as they will act as a key advocate for the benefits data and analytics can drive throughout the organization. This position reports to the Director, Marketing Analytics & Insights and will be based in Anaheim, CA.


The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics & Insight’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead a team to provide analytic efforts to assess Marketing initiatives and develop better understanding of marketing effectiveness
  • Evaluate marketing campaign performance, researching industry trends, proactively identifying and solving opportunities for value-added analysis, develop points of view to drive results, and frame recommendations for leadership
  • Provide insights to various teams including Marketing Strategy, Media, Creative, and Commercial regarding media effectiveness, creative insights, and marketing effectiveness overall
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Have a mix of marketing and analytics experience
  • Demonstrated ability with having connected the dots between desired marketing campaign / business outcomes and actual results to make actionable recommendations to improve performance
  • Ability to partner with a spectrum of teams from across the WDP&R organization to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are appropriately considered
  • Have strong relationship skills and be able to effectively analyze and integrate results from across the broader CIMA team as well as key partner areas including Marketing and Sales Strategy, Costumer Engagement, Advanced Analytics, website/app analytics, Pricing, Planning & Forecasting, and Finance
  • Partner with vendors in the MarTech/AdTech innovation space to identify new opportunities to analyze marketing and media initiatives and manage the project portfolio
  • Support the marketing and analytics strategy that will enable CIMA to drive efficiencies and capabilities
  • Create presentations to highlight opportunities and tell the story
  • Partner with managers across the organization to look for new opportunities to leverage data within marketing to enable decision making

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in an analytics role
  • 4+ years of experience managing a team
  • Marketing knowledge or experience, preferably in marketing strategy, media planning, or an analytic area
  • Experience with media reporting, including digital, social, and traditional media data
  • Strong digital marketing experience and knowledge of digital marketing technologies (AdTech and MarTech tools)
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills to champion a project from inception to implementation and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify areas that data and analytics can add value to the business and translate business problems into solution-driven actions
  • Ability to effectively partner across all levels and manage multiple projects with high standards
  • Ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced environment with the ability to empower others
  • Intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, hard-working, good work ethic and an on-point business intuition
  • Solid analytical and technical problem solving skills, including strong knowledge of statistics and data mining
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and focus on excellence in work product delivery
  • Ability to identify and handle issues proactively and decisively with limited direction and oversight while also communicating consistently to executive leadership
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including effective visual representation of complex data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability
  • Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into proposals, recommendations, and findings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of analytical experience
  • Leadership of analytics or marketing/media teams
  • Experience with marketing, paid media, CRM, digital, search, and/or social media data
  • Experience with syndicated measurement tools (i.e., ComScore, Nielsen)
  • Experience with big data environments
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools and analytic software applications
  • Strong influencing, partnering, and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations of complex business issues to senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly gain a conceptual understanding of a complex situation and establish immediate credibility
  • Media agency experience
  • Entrepreneurial experience or experience leading implementation of new innovative capabilities

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a similar analytics field

Preferred Education

  • MBA or Advanced degree in an analytics field
