Sr. Operations Training Manager

The Sr. Operations Training Manager will develop innovative strategic training plans, lead process improvement efforts, and be an advocate for change. This role will drive and project manage training initiatives that affect more than one Line of Business and/or area. Provide leadership to salaried and hourly Operations Training team Cast. Additionally the individual in this role will support local training efforts and has client responsibility. Client responsibility includes, leading the integration and sustainment of Disneyland Resort training programs, processes and standards, building strategic and sustainable relationships, assessing training effectiveness for both hourly and salaried Cast, design and activate training strategies in support of Resort priorities, and be a partner for leaders at all levels on local training needs.

Interested candidates should have a flexible schedule considering all days of the week and times of day as needs may flex based on business priorities, audience and training need.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and implementation plans for training initiatives that cross more than one Line of Business/Area
  • Design elements of the leadership training strategy; advocate activation and sustainment
  • Lead salaried and hourly Cast on the Operations Training team
  • Lead and influence operating leaders to drive training compliance of all required training (OJT, Regulatory, Compliance, etc.)
  • Lead the development, implementation and follow through on new leader on-boarding/transition plans
  • Assess trends in training needs and develop recommendations to support long term future and current training needs through key metrics (trainee pass/fail rates, continual extension of training parameters, etc.) and/or consultation with area leadership
  • Develop and activate local training strategies to align with overarching Resort training strategies

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively lead others through change
  • Ability to lead both directly and indirectly at all levels
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Effective collaboration and integration skills
  • Proficient in Windows based applications including Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Resort business priorities and practices
  • Strong proficiency in problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to integrate multiple groups driving towards a common goal
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Disney work experience in Operations, Human Resources or other related fields
  • 3+ years previous Leadership experience

Required Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field
