Disney+ Brand & Media Manager

Job Summary:

  • Following the Year 1 success of Disney+ in NZ a permanent, full time role is required to continue the positive momentum and support the service within the NZ market
  • To be the lead NZ Marketing contact ensuring plans are aligned to the ANZ strategy but also localised to maximise ROI, deliver creative cut through and ultimately drive D+ subscription whilst minimising customer churn

Responsibilities:

Brand Management
  • In market brand custodian
  • Ensure all comms adhere to ANZ brand guidelines
  • Implement new brand initiatives to ensure D+ feels both local and loved in NZ
Media Planning and Analysis
  • Review and analyse Disney Plus ANZ Media strategy with a view to broadly align in NZ whilst also recognising any local considerations
  • Capture NZ nuances in media briefs and brief local media agency accordingly
  • Manage D+ relationship with NZ media agency
  • Review local Paid Media plans alongside local Owned Media plans to maximise reach, frequency and engagement
  • Map media priorities between Brand campaigns and ‘hero’ content campaigns
  • Manage media spend allocation and keep to budget.
  • Review media spend against ROI metrics
Digital & Performance Marketing
  • Deep analysis of local ‘Performance Marketing’ plans
  • Make recommendations ensuring future optimisation for NZ
  • Liaise with ANZ Performance Team in Melbourne to ensure NZ Digital comms deliver against objectives and goals
  • Provide Weekly & Monthly performance dashboards with supporting commentary
  • Make recommendations to continually fine tune Digital Marketing strategy and plans to drive acquisition and minimise churn
Creative
  • Collaborate closely with ANZ Creative Team in Melbourne so NZ requirements are delivered against
  • Review ANZ and Global creative materials to ensure localised on time, every time
  • Ensure materials best suited for the NZ market are selected and developed
  • Oversee local materials trafficking process to media owners avoiding late penalties
  • Manage local creative agency relationship
  • Manage local creative / production spend to budget
Events
  • Support the planning and roll out of both Disney+ and Walt Disney Company showcase presentations in the NZ market
Line Management Responsibilities
  • Motivate, incentivise and manage - o D+ Marketing Executive NZ o D+ & Studio PR Exec NZ (Dotted Line)
Stakeholder Management
  • Internal: Foster strong relationships with – o Head of Studio & Commercialisation NZ o Disney+ Teams based in Melbourne
  • External o NZ Media Agency o NZ Creative Agency

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years Marketing experience
  • Media planning background
  • Digital Marketing savvy
  • Ability to develop creative across all media channels
  • Keen interest in Entertainment, Streaming, TV & Movie industries
  • 2+ years line management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desire to work in fast moving, ever changing, high growth environment
  • Tenacity whilst adapting to new ways of working
  • Self-motivated & capable of working remotely / independently
  • Digital Marketing native with strong associated analytical skills
  • Ability to localise international marketing strategies
  • Agency management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills - relationship building, collaborative
  • Ability to deliver localised creative excellence in market

Preferred Education

  • ​Bachelor Degree preferred
