This role is based on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in usage of maintenance and purchasing computer system – AMOS
  • Accountable for inventory control of the Island stores and make purchase requests for item/s as needed or as requested
  • Regularly communicate with Purchasing and Logistics Team regarding status of Purchase Orders and Service Requests
  • Supply and assist all departments with the necessary supplies and tools
  • All transport that goes to the ship(s) and be able to supply the proper paperwork for customs
  • Receives and store all incoming supplies, spare parts, and equipment
  • Maintain and update inventory in AMOS
  • Maintain all tools in the store room
  • Assist Hotel Stores Team with ships’ provisioning
  • Skilled in usage of maintenance and purchasing computer system – AMOS

  • Regularly communicate with Purchasing and Logistics Team regarding status of Purchase Orders and Service Requests
  • Consult vendors/manufacturers for technical information and quotations as directed or as required
  • Supply and assist all departments with the necessary supplies and tools
  • All transport that goes to the ship(s) and be able to supply the proper paperwork for customs
  • Must be a trained Fire Fighter, Will be trained in Hurricane Preparedness and evacuation procedures
  • Fulfill other duties as required by the Supervisor and other Department Heads

Basic Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the Bahamas
  • 3 to 4 years of experience as storekeeper or related
  • Diploma or certificate in computer training, Amos D preferred
  • Fluent in English language to communicate with vendors and Head Office on a regular basis

Additional Information:

Applicants must:
  • Be genuinely interested in living and working on a private island in the Bahamas
  • Be committed to the position you are applying for at least 2-3 contracts before a transfer or promotion
  • Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
  • Be willing to follow and embrace United States Public Health requirements and guidelines as well as Environmentality requirements and Company practices
  • Be willing to share a cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multi-cultural environment
  • Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
  • Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally
Your Responsibilities:
  • Have a valid passport and obtain necessary visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
  • Complete a pre-employment medical
  • Obtain a criminal background check
  • Bring approved work shoes

**Disney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace. All new hires are required to undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass the drug/alcohol testing will result in immediate termination.
