India Editor, ESPNcricinfo will be responsible for all the match-related and new content for ESPNcricinfo for Indian cricket, not only our biggest market, but our biggest global audience base He will look after the day-to-day management of mainstream content and his job will include assigning video pieces that feed news or match-related stories. He will be in charge all the Indian writers and will be the critical link with the video production team. He will also coordinate with the copydesk, the global editorial teams and the multi-platform desk.
- Manage match and news content for India
- Plan event coverage for Indian cricket
- Daily content planning with the video desk
- Groom and mentor writers
- Ensure that the content being produced daily aligns with our vision for the mobile-first world
- Work with all the content teams – video, news correspondents, social media and features
- Work closely with the editorial teams across all the regions
Basic Qualifications:Qualifications & Experience :-
10 years of experience at a senior level in a print or web publication specializing in cricket
At least five years of experience in a leadership position
An excellent grasp of the English language, keen understanding of the game, a good understanding of the internet and web journalism and a flexible mindset to be able adapt to new challenges
