Job Summary:

The Disney Direct to Consumer and International (DTCI) Cyber Security Operations team is seeking a Cyber Incident Response Lead to join our growing team. This is a technical role that will require a well-rounded, highly-skilled security operations professional. The ideal candidate is capable of identifying and eliminating cyber security incidents, and their capabilities have been leveraged regularly and proven effective. This individual will be the most senior of the team’s investigation and response personnel, leading the incident response strategy and having significant influence over the incident detection/analytics strategy.

Someone will be successful in this role if they are capable of precise and accurate analysis in high-stakes situations, knowledgeable enough to identify the best path to eradication/recovery, and willing to invest in their teammates on the Cyber Security Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficient and effective response to cyber and information security events
  • Ownership of the cyber security incident response program
  • Proactive monitoring for threats to DTCI brands, data assets, technology and operations
  • Development of new detection strategies and analytics to improve incident detection rate
  • Curation of strong working relationships across all levels of the IT organization
  • Implementation of incident response plans, tool-specific processes, and streamlined workflows
  • Dedication to continued learning and growth to keep up with the unstoppable progress of technology and the actors who seek to exploit it

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information security
  • Proven experience with profiling network traffic to detect possible intrusions from inside or outside networks
  • Experience with computer forensic tools to support investigations with evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, and data recovery
  • Demonstrated technical abilities to leverage a broad range of technologies and system generated data in performing operational security functions: Windows, Linux, relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.), NGFW, secure web gateways, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, virtualization and cloud computing technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Played a key investigation and technical leadership role in response to multiple cyber security compromises
  • Ability to script in Python, Java, or Base
  • GIAC GCIA, GCIH, or GCFA
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
