DTCI includes Disney’s international media operations and the Company’s direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including the upcoming Disney+ direct-to-consumer streaming service, the Company’s ownership stake in Hulu, and the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in partnership with ESPN. BAMTECH Media, developer of the ESPN+ and Disney-branded streaming platforms, oversees all consumer-facing digital technology and products across the Company as part of the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment.
Specifically, the Director will lead one of the FP&A Technology Finance teams for DTCI with budget responsibilities of $700 million in Operating Expense and +$100 million in Capital Expense. Duties will include leading and coordinating clients’ monthly forecast, annual operating plan and annual five-year plan. In addition, the role will help support the overall service costing and allocations of technology costs to the various LOB’s, along with tracking synergies and TSA progress. The position reports to the VP Technology Finance and will have two Managers as direct reports.
- Partner with technology teams to manage operating and capital plans
- Identify opportunities, make recommendations and assist VP with optimization, automation, savings, and quality improvements
- Prepare annual service cost structure including unit cost analyses
- Oversee the tracking of technology service costs and manage the allocation process of these services to LOB’s
- Provide trend analyses of spend patterns, KPIs and performance vs business cases
- Monitor Continuous Improvement / Optimization projects and quantify benefits realized
- Oversee tracking of TSA requirements and
- Provide ad-hoc support for strategic initiatives
- Manage and motivate a team
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, strategic planning and/or management consulting, including experience leading cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s Degree
