Job Summary:

The Continuous Delivery mission is to create modern end to end continuous delivery to deploy software features faster and boost Disney’s position in the marketplace.

The Software Engineer will apply technical experience to manage individual projects and will be responsible for delivering end to end continuous delivery automation. The successful candidate will be able to identify patterns and develop quality code for pipeline automation while evangelizing pipeline standards and best practices. This role is expected to work in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders and various requirements.

This is a hands-on engineering position that requires proficiency in CI\\CD automation, application platform requirements, and pattern recognition. The ideal candidate is passionate about Continuous Delivery, technology, apps, and Disney.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the agile software development ceremonies
  • Build continuous delivery automation pipelines
  • Create and update infrastructure as code
  • Implement automated configuration management
  • Diagnose and resolve continuous delivery job failures
  • Develop tools and patterns used for automating the building of applications ranging from microservices, serverless, iOS, Android, and more
  • Regularly review existing systems, policies, and practices
  • Deliver solutions that adhere to high quality coding guidelines
  • All other duties that drive key business outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of previous and relevant experience in technology engineering or operations with experience in CI/CD systems
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services-based infrastructure and management
  • Expertise in configuring, deploying, and supporting web frameworks at scale on Linux, Windows, and Container platforms
  • Familiarity with the Agile methodology
  • Professional experience with Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Nexus, Artifactory, Gitlab CI, CircleCI or similar tools
  • Experience with configuration management automation.
  • Strong foundations with application deployment techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Gitlab CI and Nexus
  • Proficient working with Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Proficient with version control systems (Git, TFS, SVN)
  • Experience with patch management automation

Required Education

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely. A remote opportunity may be possible for qualified candidates under certain circumstances and, if granted, the employee would work remotely on an ongoing basis.
