The Disney Media Entertainment and Distribution (DMED) Sports Research, Insights & Analytics team utilizes all facets of media research (Nielsen, comScore, Adobe Analytics, etc.) as well as primary research to inform ESPN as well as the larger Walt Disney Company on A) how the sports as category and specific content is currently performing and B) how the business can drive even greater consumption in the future.
The DMED Sports Research, Insights & Analytics team is part the larger DMED Research, Insights and Analytics group of more than 100+ world-class researchers measuring all aspects of media consumption across a wide range of networks, digital properties and SVOD services to guide The Walt Disney Company.
As Research Coordinator, you will support network operations by ensuring accurate and timely schedules are input into Nielsen’s NCL system and ESPN’s internal system on a daily basis. In addition, you will support the Sports Research team in tracking various sport audiences across the many ESPN digital and linear platforms.
You should be naturally curious, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with peers within DMED Sports Research, Insights & Analytics.
This position will report to the Associate Director, DMED Sports Research, Insights & Analytics.
- Provide details of the ESPN networks’ program schedules to Nielsen on a daily basis
- Input program lineups into Nielsen’s NCL system for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Deportes
- Actualize non-Nielsen measured networks including ESPN Classic, ESPNews, and ABC Sports
- Maintain accurate tracking for a variety of sports across ESPN’s digital and linear platforms
- Must be proficient in Windows-based PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Displays strong attention to details.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Collaborative nature and ability to work well in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in media.
- Experience with Nielsen suite of national TV tools like NNTV, NCL and National TV Toolbox.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Mathematics, Psychology or related
