The ABC Affiliate Relations & Marketing team’s primary focus is to maximize the ABC Television Network’s distribution through strong programming and numerous initiatives. The team acts as a liaison to over 200 affiliated TV Stations.
This internship will provide exposure to the business side of the Network and the relationship with its affiliates, including Marketing, Operations, Business Planning and Station Relations.
ResponsibilitiesA Day in the Life…
The team’s intern will provide support to the Affiliate Marketing & Promotion department, as well as Operations and Station Relations projects, including marketing initiatives, pre-production assistance, station monitoring, new season programming roll-outs, and creating sales & marketing materials.
The internship will help provide a basic knowledge of the entertainment, news and sports programming industry and how it affects our ABC broadcast television stations.
Basic QualificationsWhat You Bring to the Role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Previous internship and/or job experience within sales and/or marketing.
-Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Must be detail-oriented.
-Must have interest in the broadcast business.
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be available during the months of June through August for the Summer internship program.
-All candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications-Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate within six months of graduation.
-Previous internship within a media/entertainment company.
