Job Summary:The ABC Entertainment Group, comprised of ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios, develops and produces compelling programming and some of the most successful talked-about series on television today.
The ABC Entertainment Group Communications department is responsible for handling all communication efforts for ABC Primetime, Daytime, Late-Night and ABC Studios programming. The intern would assist the ABC Entertainment Group Communications department in all areas.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Create and maintain schedules and press lists.
-Curate and disseminate information to team.
-Send materials to press.
-Manage media files.
-Serve as production assistant on publicity video shoots.
-Contribute to social media efforts.
-Log video and fulfill clip requests.
Basic Qualifications:What you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
-Previous media/PR internship experience.
-Strong organizational/multi-tasking/prioritization skills; proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to see projects through to completion; self-starter/able to take initiative.
-Interpersonal/relationship-building skills; ability to take feedback and direction.
-Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team based environment.
-Strong familiarity or hands-on experience with field and post-production of video.
-Active on social media.
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the Fall internship program.
-All candidates must be available to work daytime Monday through Friday 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
-Previous internship experience within a related field.
