A Day in the Life…
In this internship you will support the teams involved in developing and overseeing new and current drama and comedy shows for ABC, FX, Hulu, Disney+, Freeform, National Geographic, Onyx, Amazon, and Apple amongst other platforms. The studio is a key content provider for Disney platforms, having produced multiple hit series, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Station 19,” “The Wilds,” “A Million Little Things,” “This Fool,” “Black-ish,” and its spinoff, “Grown-ish.” Throughout this internship, you will learn about the development process of seeing an idea through to a pilot and also learn how the executives manage our existing shows on a day to day basis. You will also get the opportunity to learn about other departments such as Casting, Music, and Production. This internship is an incredible opportunity for anyone who is looking to break into the television field.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assistant shadowing – learns the ins and outs of being an executive assistant.
Script and Cut coverage/summarizing.
Taking notes on creative notes calls.
Logging and organizing submissions.
Join meetings and contribute to creative conversations.
What we are looking for…
Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
An awareness of ABC Signature Television shows.
Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
Previous internship experience within a related field.
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
This internship is a hybrid internship. While working remote, the internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace. You will be asked to come into our offices in Burbank on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on the days we are working in person.
The approximate dates of this internship are January through June.
Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week Monday - Friday) for the duration of the internship.
