In this role, you will blaze new paths in this data rich environment through managing the integrity, efficiency, and availability of our workforce data. You will have the chance to leverage your expertise and knowledge to maximize the Company’s investment in our employees through complex analysis, compelling storytelling, and creative solutions.

(Responsibilities) A Day in the Life

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leads across The Walt Disney Company globally to create common data definitions and consistent data mapping
  • Develop a strong understanding of Talent Acquisition business processes, workflows, and data structures.  Partner with data and technical leads to create and maintain a data dictionary and business glossary for critical data elements
  • Facilitate Data Governance Committee meetings, ensuring key Talent Acquisition stakeholders and Data Leads are kept informed of Governance issues and solutions.  Actively partner with Data Leads to review proposals, solicit feedback, and ensure user adoption of governance solutions
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of Data Governance Strategy.  Participate in policy creation, management, and analyze potential impacts of policy choices under consideration
  • Design, build, and execute efficient and accurate control structures to assess data quality and compliance to data governance policy
  • Perform data profiling and database structure research in order to understand relevant data elements along with their definitions and use

(Basic Qualifications) Your Story

  • You have technical knowledge and experience in Talent Acquisition systems and data, such as Kenexa, SAP, and/or Workday
  • You are passionate about the benefits of accurate and actionable data, you drive consistency and enjoy partnering with others to accomplish the task
  • You possess the talent for strong influencing and networking skills to help build and foster strong business relationships, leveraging those relationships to seek consensus amongst the Human Resources community on governance matters
  • You have the proven ability to work successfully with cross functional teams across a matrixed organization
  • You have strong critical thinking skills and ask relevant questions to improve processes and build efficiencies
  • You have strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow a problem through to root cause
  • You have the exceptional ability to make timely and effective decisions to meet fluid deadlines
  • You are passionate about continuous improvement with a strong desire to continue learning in order to stay relevant to business changes and industry trends
  • You have had exposure to metadata management processes and concepts, including data glossaries and data profiling
  • You have basic knowledge of SQL and databases
