Job Summary:

Department Overview:

The DMED Brand Marketing team represents the television network interests and protects network branding within the partner marketing landscape. We galvanize support for our networks through conceptualizing and pitching partner marketing campaigns. We create mutually beneficial marketing activations that drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention for our network distribution partners and increase viewership of our networks. Our team manages the dissemination of network content priorities and strategic brand insights to internal DMED stakeholders in addition to supplying them with branded content marketing assets. As well as being the “voice of distribution partners” with an obligation to listen and understand their marketing needs, we act as their representatives and liaisons to the television networks.

Job Summary:

The Associate, Brand Marketing, will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of brand and partnership marketing strategies for ABC and the Disney Channels portfolio of networks. The Associate will work with Consumer and Multi-platform Marketing teams to secure distribution, reinforce the value of the Media and Entertainment Networks, and increase engagement of our content on existing and emerging distribution platforms. The candidate must be a highly collaborative, self-starter able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Serve as ABC and Disney Channels’ Distribution Brand Marketing Representative; proactively pushing content marketing materials and promotional opportunities to distribution partners; manage on-going distribution partner requests for assets and communicate usage and subsequent promotional value to the respective network partners.

  • Assist in all aspects of brand and partnership marketing campaign activities; collaborate with internal stakeholders as required to execute brand and partner initiatives; and build relationships with Network stakeholders (creative services teams, programming & scheduling teams, legal & BA teams, corporate synergy team, network PR and talent teams, distribution, ad sales, research etc.)

  • Maintain team budgets including processing of all invoices/POs/payments to vendors; ensure creative assets are delivered in a timely manner so that projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Provide admin support for the DMED brand marketing team including scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, merchandise/premium ordering and inventory maintenance, compiling marketing campaign overviews and team status reports.
  • Assist in creation, sharing, and presenting of brand marketing plans for client/internal presentations.
  • Proactively seek out information to gain a comprehensive understanding of our industry including our content offerings, emerging technologies, distribution platforms, industry trends, competitive landscape to influence our marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with team and client services on B2B communications/mailers, event hospitality and ticket requests.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a high profile, high volume portfolio

  • Detail oriented self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of and interest in the evolving media landscape and media consumption habits

  • A healthy appreciation for the content on ABC and Disney Channels

  • Experience with social media platforms

  • Must be able to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are a plus

  • Familiarity with other office tools: Slack, Box, Dropbox, Google Docs/Forms
