Corporate Brand Management (CBM) is part of the Corporate arm of The Walt Disney Company, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, and works across the company to maximize the economic value of our brands, franchises and customer relationships for the short and long term. CBM aligns the various parts of the company around common strategies so that we achieve business growth through strong brands:
  • Build deep consumer behavioral insights – how they are spending their money, what they are doing, and what their perspectives are – to shape growth and marketing strategies
  • Identify strategic issues of our brands, franchises and customers to guide strategy/product development
  • Create integrated marketing plans for priority brands and franchises
  • Nurture consumer-driven business development

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life...
  • Perform analyses to gain insight into company businesses and identify segments or category opportunities for further development
  • Conduct in-depth competitive and market analyses, including preparing case studies to support brand, franchise, and consumer strategies
  • Compile and create reports on industry and competitive data in support of franchise strategy, planning and management
  • Support the creation of integrated marketing programs for priority brands and franchises including development of themes, internal mobilization, integrated planning, development of creative, media plan, social media and performance tracking
  • Support development of priority franchise strategies and landscape analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Possess creative acumen, maturity and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrate creativity and proficiency in building presentations
  • Demonstrate analytic skills with strong proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Experience using marketing research
  • Previous internship in a marketing role

Required Education

  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in in marketing, communications or closely related degree.

Preferred Education

  • Graduated from or currently enrolled in a Top Tier undergraduate program

Additional Information:

  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2020 through August/September 2020
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
