Job Summary:

Innovative Creative Marketing Department responsible for all A/V initiatives falling within Disney Media Entertainment Distribution’s Commercial Marketing Group.

The AV Finishing Specialist will work with the AV Manager and Producers to support a broad range of activities and day-to-day operations through the production, post-production, and finishing process.

This person will develop and facilitate plans for the day-to-day logistical elements of the job for AV campaigns and finishing. This person reports to the AV Manager to determine priorities on any given project and works closely with AV Manager/Producers on the AV team. This person will also develop and maintain relationships both cross-departmentally (across Creative, Marketing Strategy, Media, and Digital) as well as with external vendors to determine priorities on any given project. The candidate will manage many campaign assets across production and assist in streamlining the finishing process on AV initiatives. This includes problem-solving, project management and facilitating deliveries for multiple studio partners including Disney Branded, Disney Animation, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Studios, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and Marvel


  • Gather and manage campaign assets from kickoff to final delivery. Facilitate delivery of assets internally and externally (theatrical AV, legal info, artwork, music, MPA ratings, graphics, toolkits, scripts, cue sheets, duplication requests, et al.)
  • Create and execute finishing instructions for AV campaigns. Work closely with finishing vendors to ensure assets deliver on time.
  • Track and traffic AV assets through legal/MPA/network clearances/music clearances/3rd Party and Digital Account reviews and clearances.
  • Keep track of spot approvals and spot versions within the Creative spot grid.
  • Create campaign summary spreadsheets, salient scenes, and copy grids.
  • Assign ISCI codes for all TV/Radio spots delivered for broadcast for the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate on AV Creative Marketing Campaigns, weekly marketing, creative and finishing meetings.
  • Request AV assets (Feature films, trailers, TV spots, BTS content, etc.) through Tech services and send to assigned campaign creative agencies.
  • Track finishing grid and collaborate with marketing strategy to ensure that accurate delivery dates and the most up-to-date information is reflected on the grid.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors (creative agencies, finishing vendors, duplication facilities) and internal departments including Studio, Legal, and Technical Services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years plus experience in film or motion picture advertising. Experience working at a studio and/or within Home Entertainment is a plus.
  • Must have working knowledge of the production/post-production process as it relates to creating A/V campaigns and understand technical aspects regarding delivery specs - file formats, audio tracks, etc., and some editorial and motion graphic software program terminology. Candidate to have an understanding of editorial and finishing processes.
  • This person needs to be detail-oriented, and extremely organized to properly guide the finishing process. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task, prioritize workload and anticipate needs as campaigns evolve.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Film/TV or Communications/Marketing
