Job Summary:

As a Data Ops Steward, you will work within the Enterprise Metadata Services (EMS) Operations team to drive a streamlined global distribution metadata solution for all content and lines of business (encompassing TV, Studio and Streaming titles globally). The Metadata Operations team oversees content metadata from origination through distribution, and you will lead the strategy and its implementation to enable an efficient and accurate supply chain for a portion of this metadata such as Product/Experience, Identifiers, Localization/International, Title Origination and End to End Process Design. In the role you will engage with business stakeholders across the supply chain to align priorities, articulate requirements to the technology team and partner to re-engineer processes. This position will work closely with business and technical partners across multiple lines of business and across levels.

The candidate must have experience leading strategy, defining process and managing and documenting workflows as they build and maintain key relationships at the strategic program level and at the tactical project level. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successful operational ownership who can identify and prioritize opportunities. You must have a passion for metadata.


  • Support the metadata needs for the digital content supply chain, leading title research and metadata review for projects ranging from Disney+ title sustainment to digital licensing deals
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the digital supply chain, such as library and technical services, localization, etc. ensuring quality metadata is delivered to our partners
  • Act as a lead data steward within the metadata ops organization supporting the creation and dissemntation of content metadata
  • Partner with business and technology partners to drive data-driven decisioning for IP, often related to how to apply / use CTaM tags within systems
  • Partner with technology and business partners to support EMS use cases, within the context of data governance

Basic Qualifications:

  • +3 years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience in driving taxonomy development and application particularly with large and complex sets of information
  • Strong process orientation
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to drive results
  • Excellent attention to detail with a willingness to get into the "weeds" as needed
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applicationsSolid organizational and multi-tasking skills

Required Education

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or other pertinent areas

Preferred Education

  • Master’s in related field, MBA, MLIS is preferred
