Job Summary:

The Direct to Consumer Tax Counsel/ Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, and the business unit streaming launches, Star roll-out, ongoing technology development for next generation software/additional features for all markets and streaming transfer pricing local file work, bench-marking for strategic projects and audit support. This role will team with our Transfer Pricing team and will develop in-house expertise on the business model operations, third party comparables, and relevant functions, assets and risks by entity by market. The role will also support the senior manager on proactive analysis of new transfer pricing initiatives/rules that impact streaming. This position plays a key role in the design, development and implementation of sustainable tax planning consistent with our brand and risk profile. Please note this role can be 100% REMOTE!

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in county by country, local file, and global master file preparation re streaming.
  • Track, evaluate, and provide support re new/developing transfer pricing rules which might impact streaming.
  • Support the team in advanced pricing agreement submissions and interface, treaty relief requests, and other proactive tax resolution administrative processes re streaming.
  • Support the development and evaluation of a library of third party comparables for streaming for use in transfer pricing.
  • Aid with technology development items re-launch and roll-out.
  • Other strategic items as needed by the business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of work experience in an accounting or tax department at a corporation or equivalent experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or similar.
  • Streaming experience.
  • Quantitative modeling and valuation experience.
  • Significant international tax experience.
  • Income tax accounting familiarity and awareness on material considerations including outside of uncertain tax positions.
  • Large scale project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public accounting international tax experience.
  • CPA

Required Education

  • BA/BS Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance or other similar field.
  • Law Degree and admission to a state bar (with membership in good standing).

Preferred Education

  • Master in Tax and/or Accounting.
