The intern, as part of our Disney+ Unscripted team with Disney Branded Television will be directly contributing creative and compelling work while participating in a highly collaborative and passionate environment. This role will report into our teams who support Disney+ Unscripted Content, as well as unscripted content for Disney Channel, and will gain exposure to a variety of different teams, work, and opportunities throughout the content and production process.
A Day in the Life…
Helping to maintain and track grids of project updates across documentary features, docuseries, formats, variety, specials and short form projects through constant communication with key Disney stakeholders
Supporting departmental projects including, but not limited to, preparing PowerPoint presentations, casting selects, internal grids and additional research assignments
Reading incoming creative materials such as creative decks, scripts, casting, and pitch submissions. Screen show cuts and provide thoughtful feedback and evaluation for the team to consider
Helping to identify new creative opportunities (Disney IP, show ideas, talent, writers) for the department to pursue
Tracking the competitive landscape across television and film and keeping a pulse on projects and trends
Updating upcoming Production Company/Producer/Showrunner/Director lists to keep in mind for future projects
Representing the department in a professional manner
Liaising with other Disney executives, producers, and other assistants internally and externally

Strong critical thinking skills, a creative mindset, appetite for content
Demonstrated organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent computer proficiency – Mac & Windows: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe, Illustrator
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly.
Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with confidential information
Demonstrate the ability to maintain strong working relationships and ability to interface with varied levels of management
Proactive attitude to seek and manage new initiative on behalf of the department as needed
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
This internship is a hybrid internship. While working remote, the internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace. You will be asked to come into our offices in Burbank on days we are working in person.
All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
The approximate dates of this internship are January through May/June.
All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm PST.
