Responsibilities

A Day in the Life...
Support the HR Communications & Strategy team by:
  • Working closely with VP, HR Communications & Strategy on various special projects
  • Assisting with HR-related marketing initiatives across The Walt Disney Co.
  • Leading research in HR industry trends, influencers and best practices
  • Creating and editing executive presentations
  • Managing miscellaneous communications and writing projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Innovative and creative thinker
  • Excellent writing skills, especially PR and journalism writing, AP Style
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across diverse functional groups
  • Innovative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internships in the HR or communications fields, including agency experience
  • Professional experience with social and digital media platforms
  • Mac and Microsoft Office proficient (including PowerPoint, Keynote)
  • Familiarity/working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with photography, videography and video editing

Required Education

  • Currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class -OR- be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months -OR- be currently participating in the Disney College program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a closely related field

Preferred Education

  • Graduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources or closely related field

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 through early January 2019
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 30- 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation in the Burbank area
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age​
