A Day in the Life…
  • Support enterprise-wide cause marketing campaigns
  • Update and create cause marketing assets and content that business segments can leverage to align and enhance company priorities and initiatives with causes the Company most authentically supports
  • Research cause marketing trends, best practices, social media technology and create presentation decks with key learnings
  • Assist in developing strategies to enhance cause marketing campaigns that drive reputational value back to the Company
  • Track and compile cause marketing campaign data and metrics
  • Create presentation decks and manage cause marketing library
  • Compile monthly cause marketing meeting agendas and recaps
  • Support consumer & employee events
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, internally and externally

Basic Qualifications:

What we are looking for…
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of consumer marketing and brand strategy. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to project manage, research trends and technology to provide key insights for marketing strategies, and create presentations and overview material. The candidate should be collaborative and positive by nature, and express a desire to contribute positively to important social issues.
  • Experience in marketing, social media and metrics/analytics
  • Strong communication, marketing, analytical and presentation skills (able to make compelling narratives from data collection)
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and effectively problem solve
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills
  • Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
  • Knowledge and proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Power Point and/or Keynote
  • Previous experience writing copy and/or developing effective communication messages including social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills and graphic design experience with knowledge of Adobe suite of products
  • Experience in brand marketing, marketing and promotions, consumer marketing, brand communications, or promotional partnerships
  • Knowledge of cause marketing campaigns, digital promotions and communications that drive brand awareness
  • Experience working for or with non-profit organizations and creative/ad agencies

Required Education

  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Junior or Senior pursuing their undergraduate degree or recent graduate within the last 6 months, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field

Preferred Education

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Additional Information:

  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2020 through January 2021
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
