Job Summary:

The Global Film & TV Content Sales Licensing center of excellence accounts for the licensing of TWDC content to third parties and internal Disney services. This includes content produced by Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox Film & TV, Pixar, Marvel, Lucas Film, ABC Studios, Disney Channel and Freeform. The team ensures that revenues are appropriately recognized in line with accounting standards, partnering with sales, finance, legal and accounting teams around the world as well as Disney’s technical accounting transaction support team. An opportunity exists to join this dynamic business as a Financial Accounting Analyst (Project Hire) in its Billing & Accounts Receivable team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly invoicing for deals in Tuscany and Utopia systems
  • In charge of cash application process in Tuscany and Utopia systems and the reconciliation of unapplied payments
  • Customer account ownership to ensure fast resolution of customer inquiries
  • Collection and reconciliation of withholding tax receipts
  • Preparation of workflow procedures and documentation as needed
  • Assist with AR related audit requests, including external (PWC), statutory, management, tax, SOX and talent audits
  • Ad hoc projects and supporting system integration efforts

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in a media environment
  • Strong excel skills with ability to extract data, use pivot tables and leverage macros
  • Strong positive / can-do attitude and comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Be able to multi-task and work well with others in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks and analyses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International accounting experience and exposure to foreign exchange rate issues
  • Entertainment industry experience
  • Interest in TV Shows and the workings of the Broadcast and Cable TV industry
  • Tuscany, Utopia or SAP knowledge preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field

Preferred Education

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred
