Within DTCI, the Advertising Platforms team is responsible for creating and scaling innovative global advertising solutions by building mission-critical tools and workflows to support digital & linear ad sales, traffic, marketing and parts of broadcast operations. This role is a part of the Salesforce Software Engineering team within the DTCI Advertising Platforms organization. Responsibilities:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will use your deep knowledge of Salesforce and solid software development principles. You will be responsible for translating requirements created by the Product Management and Architecture teams into the technical designs for a key solution that supports high visibility business processes using a tightly-knit combination of declarative configuration, custom Apex and Lightning components on the Salesforce platform. You will be an active participant in the full SDLC process, through discovery, design, implementation, testing and support, including documentation of relevant deliverables for both the business and technical teams. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to manage expectations related to scope of work. You have a track record of guiding internal and external teams, both on-site and remote, to build new functionality and update and maintain existing features and applications. You will govern coding and delivery standards while helping guide new developers toward becoming trusted contributors to our product and growing their individual talent. You will be an important part of a motivated team where we’ll be looking for you to collaborate with the team to drive application architecture, code quality, and make sure we are building the right things for our users.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant programming experience (Apex, C#, Java or other OOP Languages)
  • 5+ years as a Salesforce Developer
  • 3+ years leading one or more teams with a proven track record of delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Proven ability to build custom functionality from scratch
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate-high complexity
  • Designing and implementing custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex
  • Strong data management abilities
  • Integrating external systems with the Salesforce Platform via the REST or SOAP API or through custom Apex callouts
  • In depth understand of the Salesforce Security, Record Ownership and Visibility models
  • Experience with Data Loader and other peripheral Salesforce related applications
  • Intermediate knowledge of Visualforce and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience in a front end technology and modern web framework such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or ReactJS
  • A history of mentoring and guiding developers and improving the team around you
  • Work in an Agile development environment using Jira or other project management platforms
  • A documented history of successfully driving feature development to completion

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or minimum 12 years training or work experience.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science is a bonus.
