As part of the Processes & Performance division of Enterprise Technology, the Technology & Cybersecurity Learning Manager will work within the Communications & Development Programs department that oversees internal campaigns that connect, inform, and engage TWDC employees and promote a one-team culture through programs that foster collaboration and accountability. The team additionally oversees all supporting technology and cybersecurity content designed for employees, including compliance training and awareness campaigns.

This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing both technology and cybersecurity learning and training on behalf of the Enterprise Technology division and in service to the rest of the company.  This role will oversee all program elements to design and institute a technology learning strategy that supports employee career growth and development at Enterprise Technology. This position additionally oversees cybersecurity training, including compliance training, for the entire company. Possessing a clear understanding of adult learning concepts, as well as new learning trends for employees, and how to expand upon those practices to drive technology product and service education as well as cybersecurity best practices and compliance, will be critical to this role. Expertise in program development, project management, leveraging metrics and reporting to define what good looks like, and the progress towards established goals will be foundational for this role.

This position reports to the Director of Technology Communication and Development Programs and supports both the Enterprise Technology organization as well as employee learning and training in technology and cybersecurity across the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of computer-based training products for the Enterprise Technology teams, educating both end users and technologists

  • Maintain and improve the existing technology and cybersecurity educational content across all platforms, seeking opportunities to maximize budget and use across teams

  • Build trusted and effective relationships with stakeholders and partners: Enterprise Technology, Information Security team, Privacy/Legal, Physical Security, Corp. Learning & Development, Corporate and Segment Communications, etc..

  • Develop learning strategies and and lead initiatives in support of larger technology and cybersecurity projects and programs to drive measurable results in awareness, engagement and compliance (where applicable)

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), internal creative and writing teams to ensure materials are accurate, effective, aligned to priorities, and consistent in execution.

  • Provide regular reporting on training enrollment and completion, looking for opportunities to maximize and automate existing processes where possible.

  • Develop technology and cybersecurity learning and training strategies that complement existing programs, while continuously seeking to improve the employee learning experience.

  • Ability to develop and deliver strategic proposals to senior leadership that describe technology and cybersecurity learning program recommendations and new training opportunities, including articulation of business value, employee benefits, and ROI as befitting that audience

  • Aggressively curious with a passion for technology and cybersecurity awareness, learning, training and employee development

  • Challenge norms and seek opportunities to continuously improve employee L&T offerings in these highly critical areas

Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years Project Management experience with emphasis on learning and training for employees

  • Experience working in technology and cybersecurity industries

  • Instructional Design expertise - Support the development of eLearning content and courseware, providing writing and editing expertise for training materials and collateral, including instructor-led training and other relevant learning courseware

  • Proven track record of delivering new, and improving existing, learning and training courses and programs, from conception to final implementation, tracking and trending use after launch and evolving where needed to deliver upon stated goals and commitments

  • Ability to communicate and market complex technical messages in a simple, clear and engaging manner within our organization

  • Basic understanding of information security principles

  • “Can Do” attitude - Ability to take the initiative, reach out to and coordinate with different people in different departments to bring ideas to life

  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills throughout all levels of the organization.

  • Strong planning, scheduling, organization, and attention to detail

  • Intellectual curiosity and flexibility

  • Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint

  • Highly detail-oriented and able to express written ideas, thoughts or facts in an organized and convincing way

  • Superior organizational and project management skills, as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects to achieve milestones and objectives

  • Solid problem-solving skills, and ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve project goals

  • Demonstrated business savvy, confidence to interface with all levels and ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 years experience writing and designing information security educational material for employee and customer.

  • Instructional design or adult learning certifications

  • Experience developing learning and training for internal audiences

  • Experience with technology and/or cybersecurity programs for large companies

  • Employee events production a plus.

  • Formal training with data analytics and trending

  • Proficiency with and understanding of user metrics and analytics, including report generation and dashboards

  • Proficiency with data visualizations and animations to tell a story

  • Experience developing training for employee audiences

  • Experience working with SMEs

  • Experience working with confidential materials

  • Storyboarding, scripting, or other storytelling experience in the learning and training space

  • Passion for employee development programs, their use, and ROI

  • Formal Change Management training (Six Sigma, etc.)

  • Formal project management training

  • Articulate storyline or comparable web-based learning platforms

  • Passion for technology in the workplace, technical learning, and cybersecurity human risk mitigation programs

Education

  • BA/BS in communications, applied learning & development, Technology, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience

  • APTD certification or other related learning & development specialist training is preferred

  • PMP certification is preferred


The hiring range for this position in California is $112,586 - $151,030 per year and in Washington is $117,998 - $158,290 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
