The Walt Disney Company seeks a fulltime Legal Operations Coordinator Project Hire for 12-18 months for Corporate Legal Operations. The Legal Operations Team serves as the central resource for strategic planning, processes and systems that support the efficient and effective functioning of the Disney Legal community. The Legal Operations Coordinator’s primary duties are to provide backup support for the Legal Operations Coordinator and Law Librarian, as well as other Legal Operations functions as assigned. Duties include, but are not limited to, supporting facilities management tasks, coordinating various events ranging from educational to team building, assisting with conference facilities set up, and Law Library support. A successful candidate must possess stellar interpersonal skills, significant acumen in attention to detail, and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Keynote and FileMaker Pro. The ability to multitask is critical, as is the ability to successfully interact with clients, business partners, and internal and external vendors.


  • Provide logistical support for internal Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) programs. This includes liaising between TWDC Audiovisual Services, Media Services, and IT Departments, assisting with preparing program documentation, tracking attendance, helping to maintain an internal database of attorney CLE participation, and creating reports as needed.
  • Provide departmental event management and assisting in developing written communications and video creation. This includes assisting in planning and executing departmental events with TWDC events staff, as well as assisting with Disney Legal’s building conference facilities set up and management.
  • Assist Law Librarian with serials maintenance including check-in, processing and labeling law library’s print materials, providing loose-leaf filing services, and delivery of regular materials. Additionally the Coordinator will assist in processing invoices for Disney Legal Law Library collections, weeding print materials from library according to library’s retention periods, supporting loaner laptop checkouts, and administering online service IDs and passwords.
  • Provide facilities backup for Corporate Legal, including but not limited to tracking client requests, interfacing between building management groups in support of day-to-day operations, track department real estate usage, new staff allocations, ordering of office supplies, and coordination of facilities and support services teams.
  • Providing ongoing organizational support to the Legal Operations Team as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience in office environment, event management, facilities support, or service/hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel preferred. Proficiency in SharePoint, Keynote and FileMaker Pro preferred.
  • Facility with web-publishing tools, communications platforms, and basic project management principles.
  • Must be service focused and dedicated to making the overall project team successful
  • Confident in dealing with a varied level of legal executives, administrative assistants, facilities and technical staff, Legal Operations and Human Resources staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Proactive by nature and assertive willingness to follow through

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Disney employment experience a plus

Preferred Education

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
