Job Summary:

Content Sales is a dynamic and evolving division of The Walt Disney Company. This department is responsible for linear and digital distribution of movies and TV content produced by the studios and brands of The Walt Disney Company.

As a member of the Content Sales team, the Manager, Content Sales will work closely with our partners to support the sale of Disney content. This role will also collaborate with other Disney sales teams, the sales strategy and analysis team, and various other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the distribution of Disney content, supporting revenue targets across the company’s entire content portfolio
  • Provide deal support from beginning to end (i.e. deal value analysis, pricing offers/counters, deal structures, windowing strategy)
  • Be a content and programming expert, work across movies, series and specials, ranging in business models from Broadcast to SVOD
  • Provide comprehensive ratings research reporting, and analysis, with the ability to interpret data to build stories for Disney Sales and Marketing. Conduct research on markets, trends, platforms, competitors and explore and develop new leads and opportunities
  • Create impactful presentations that combine analytics and storytelling in Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Evaluate 3rd party inquiries of titles, rights and windows. Identify their needs, strategy and budget
  • Work with the Sales team in the creation and execution of potential promotional/integrated Marketing opportunities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to collaboratively work across teams and departments
  • Manage Sales tools including contract lists and customer profiles
  • Review and interpret license agreements.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Expertise in understanding, interpreting and correlating data to provide sales, marketing, and content programming business insights
  • Team player with prior experience and success working within a complex and fast-paced organization with a variety of key stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills while utilizing creative thinking techniques
  • Ability to think independently and manage a variety of initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using data analytics software for content research is preferred (broadcast, digital, and social)
  • Ability to produce creative and impactful presentation decks
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Preferred Education

  • MBA preferred
