The Manager, Employee Communications and Branding will actively support, develop and execute a multitude of strategic communications and marketing campaigns for employee communications for the enterprise. This person will report to the Sr. Manager, Employee Communications and Branding, and will support two senior managers on the team. This role works with multiple in-house teams and will work with external partners as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing multiple high level communication plans for a top brand through various channels (including social media), while also being savvy in issues-related topics affecting employees in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing employee focused communications, working with HR departments such as learning and development, talent solutions, benefits, compensation, employee relations, Global HR Operations and others to strategically plan and develop content for both broad and targeted channels.
  • Developing and implementing communication plans related to Employee Social Responsibility, including publicizing ESR programs and initiatives to employee audiences and working with the ESR team to develop content for various employee platforms.
  • Preparing content for the Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report and Annual Meeting of Shareholders related to employees and workforce; coordinate with with various other HR-related departments for investor-related inquiries.
  • Working with senior manager and director to lay the ground work for tools and resources that help track and mitigate ongoing landscape issues affecting employees as part of an issues management process and tracking system for the enterprise.
  • Tracking and flagging daily issues while keeping an ongoing issues radar up-to-date; preparing recommendations for next steps for the company to address (if needed).
  • Helping with communications project management (e.g.: toolkits, calendars), reporting (results, impact reports, measurement) and the development of ongoing systems to track messaging, content and communications plans.
  • Creating and developing website and social content, including messages, FAQs and graphics, along with PPT and Keynote presentations as needed for various communication plans and presentations to leadership.
  • Assisting with the employee experience rebranding work and integration throughout the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Content development experience with emphasis on creative/marketing/public relations
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to quickly develop PPT/Keynote content and graphics
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and share new and creative ideas
  • Ability to translate complex industry-specific information into consumable communications for various audiences
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, environment and manage multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Knowledge and experience in crisis communications and issues management frame work
  • Well organized and trustworthy with a high level of discretion
  • Solution-finder/problem-solver

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited University or equivalent experience
  • Preferred degree in communications, journalism or marketing
