Job Summary:

The DMED Sensitive Information Protection group serves as a center of excellence for segment-specific requirements relating to the proactive protection of the company’s most sensitive information assets. The group embeds resources within segments that create highly valuable information and coordinates with segment staff in order to design, implement, manage, and optimize programs specific to these segment requirements and business objectives.

This Manager, Sensitive Information Protection will focus on DMED Business Engagement & Advisory responsibilities.


  • Identify relationships with program stakeholders and key operational contacts across segments. These relationships must be utilized to obtain information relating to the effectiveness of existing services, and identify opportunities to better support these groups through service enhancement or implementation of additional services, within or complementary to the Sensitive Information Protection and its governance framework
  • Participate in the development of program strategies and, through open communication and collaboration with business unit contacts, the existing DMED SIP team and the rest of the Media & Licensing SIP teams, maintaining best in class services to our stakeholders
  • Manage the assessment of workflows that support Disney’s Sensitive Information, both internally and externally (where applicable)
  • Manage monthly engagement with Studios stakeholders
  • Manage monthly engagement with DGE stakeholders
  • Ensure that third party partners are both documented and that their staff are adequately trained prior to accessing any sensitive Disney assets.
  • Ensure that sensitive information workflows and related crown jewels are both documented and optimized
  • Determine, implement, and leverage right fit program management methodologies to ensure accurate tracking and reporting for
Specific responsibilities:
  • Third Party Assessment & Training
    • Responsible for managing third party security assessment process
    • Responsible for ensuring that third parties are entered using the internal Walt Disney Studios GRC platform
    • Responsible for Third Parties Training & Awareness
    • Responsible for ensure existing Third Parties maintain status incl. scheduling annual review where appropriate
    • Responsible for helping remediate potential GRC platform issues
  • Discovery & Optimization
    • Responsible and Accountable for the selection and planning of workflows and systems assessments
    • Responsible for the initial creation of various internal sensitive information workflows and systems as well as annual updates
    • Responsible for the initial creation of Third Parties related workflow assessments
  • Program Management
    • Supporting the development and maintenance of a centralized program management system for tracking projects and operational initiatives and identify key deliverables and milestone dates
  • Policy, Training & Awareness Management
    • Support maintaining and updating of policies to address risks.
  • Incident Management
    • Support maintaining incident tracker and memorializing leaks for reusability and documentation
    • Support, where applicable, in remediation of incidents
  • Report Management
    • Support creating presentation materials used for quarterly updates with key stakeholders
    • Support generating monthly KPI & reports
    • Support creating other ad-hoc quarterly reports as needed
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Support the strategic planning of SIP services and identify opportunities to better service the requirements of segment stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience successfully managing technical projects from inception through completion, leveraging a variety of project management skills and methodologies
  • At least three years of experience successfully aggregating complex, diverse and sometimes contradictory elements into a comprehensive strategy
  • At least three years of experience transforming requirements into a final deliverable
  • Expertise in strategy development and presentation to management
  • Ability to work in a fast evolving international environment
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and trends
  • Track record of delivering projects in scope, on time, and on budget
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Pro-active and possess a hands-on, collaborative working style
  • Strong analytical skills, able to rapidly assimilate and summarize information from disparate sources
  • Action oriented with high standard for quality and performance
  • Excellent orientation to both the details and the bigger picture
  • Ability to organize and schedule work effectively

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Experience in the Media & Entertainment Industry required
  • Understanding of Media Security (e.g. media encryption, DRM, various forms of video and audio marking and fingerprinting)

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Communication or Business or closely related field

Preferred Education

  • PMP certification is a plus
  • CISSP, CISM certifications are a plus
  • SSDLC in media environment is a plus
