- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

The Studio Payroll team specializes in payroll and master data processes for Studio/Media populations with industry specific union/guild time and pay rules and the calculation/reporting/remitting of employer paid union/guild Pension, Health and Welfare contributions associated with their pay.

This role will oversee the team processing talent payments, triaging workload assigned to team members to insure deliverables are met. Inquiries that come from multiple sources for complex or new payments types would be escalated to the Process Manager for review and resolution. This manager would also be the process owner and SME for all talent and union rules, insuring compliance with all applicable union/guild contracts and training and development of team members.


  • Oversee Talent Payment processing teams including hires and payments, triage and manage deliverables
  • Partner with guild representatives, Business Affairs, Contract/Casting Admin and Tax partners re: complex issues or new payment types
  • Training and development of team members, SME Troubleshooting activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 Years with HR Administration, Payroll, accounting or related experience, preferably with a high volume employer
  • Ability to channel curious mindset to discover new solutions to challenges
  • Professionalism working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated organization skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Customer Service acumen and able to influence positive results with challenging situations
  • Proven partnership and collaboration with internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience a must, HR module preferred
  • 5 years in HR and/or Payroll customer service related positions
  • Excel proficiency with high data volume

Required Education

  • Preferred: 4 Year degree in Accounting, Business or Liberal Arts
