Senior Analyst, Rights Management

- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

This person will support Rights Management for Film for Content Sales and Direct to Consumer International services globally and enterprise wide.


Provide Rights In support for DMED:
  • Enter preliminary and confirmed rights for film content in relevant systems, primarily for the launch and sustainment of Disney STAR services.
  • Review acquisition agreements in order to enter such information into applicable system.
  • Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel, and map, migrate and validate data sets in Rightsline
  • Liaise with global teams to confirm rights, verify start dates and other general contract administration
Support Content Sales:
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed (Content Sales, Technical Servicing, Finance/Accounting, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Sales, Deal Management, etc.)
  • Assist in preparation of communications of preliminary and confirmed rights info and changes to rights info to sales and other relevant teams
  • Research and confirm rights on legacy Disney and Twentieth Century Studios titles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of underlying distribution rights and music rights
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
  • Well versed in interpreting contractual language and analyzing agreements
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint in Windows PC

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
