The Research, Insights & Analytics team is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Consumer Insights to support the Disney+ Marketing & Content Curation and In-Home Marketing & Distribution groups. Reporting to the Director, you will work closely with the Disney+ and In-Home teams, managing quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, as well as analyzing and synthesizing data, for key stakeholders. The primary areas of research responsibility for this role focus on Content & Marketing Planning, Assessment & Strategy.


· Overall, lead a team managing quantitative and qualitative research projects from inception to completion, including study design, development of appropriate methodologies, vendor selection, project management, analysis, and report / findings delivery
· Working with the Director, ensure that every deliverable is strategically actionable and drives key decision making
· Contribute to high-level business discussions supported by consumer and industry insights and present findings based on research conducted
· Serve as a key point of contact for various groups within the Disney+ Marketing & Content Curation Team, In-Home Marketing & Distribution Team, and across the broader enterprise, providing consumer and industry-based input to the decision making process
· Manage consumer research projects to inform development, refinement and marketing of new and current Disney+ originals (series and movies) as well as In-Home releases
· Specifically, manage content positioning studies, creative testing (e.g., commercials/ trailers), content assessment (e.g., mid- and full-season content reaction studies), post-release studies, and IP/content exploration (e.g., concept testing)
· Manage weekly content tracking studies across various countries
· Manage research conducted through online Disney+ subscriber panels in multiple markets, including questionnaire development, working with the panel platform, data analysis and development of findings
· Manage ad-hoc, custom quantitative and qualitative research projects on an as needed basis
· Acquire and manage syndicated research products as required to meet the needs of internal stakeholders
· Synthesize primary and secondary research to inform marketing and content decision making
· Respond to time sensitive data requests from internal clients
· Oversee research staff in a motivational and developmental manner · Assist in overseeing, managing and optimizing workflow; help identify opportunities for process improvement, increased productivity and cost efficiencies
· Manage expectations of internal clients as it relates to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
· Be at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home industry trends amidst a rapidly changing landscape
· Build and maintain relationships with research counterparts from other divisions of The Walt Disney Company as well as external vendors
· Stay abreast of current trends and new techniques in the field of market research

Basic Qualifications:

· At least 5 years quantitative and qualitative market research experience
· Extensive quantitative and qualitative research background, either supplier-side, client-side, or some combination thereof
· Experience managing staff in a research capacity
· Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
· Solid quantitative and qualitative research project management skills
· Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight deadlines and constant change
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize ideas and issues to key stakeholders
· Strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives
· Ability to represent the Director in key stakeholder meetings, with ability to explain research methodologies or findings effectively
· Flexible personality, quick learner, and a strong, pro-active work ethic
· Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team, including in a supervisory role
· Ability to think out-of-the-box in assisting with the development of methodological approaches
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
· Computer literate with proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Keynote
· Confident, self-motivated, and detail oriented
· Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving
· Strong business acumen
· Intellectual curiosity and a passion for innovation
· Organizational savvy, with the ability to “read a room”

Preferred Qualifications:

· Entertainment market research experience, with an emphasis on SVOD, TV, and/or In-Home content consumption
· Experience with SPSS, Reporter, Q or Marketsight a plus
· International Market Research experience
· Passionate consumer of content – movies, TV, SVOD
· Familiarity with the brands and franchises of The Walt Disney Company

Required Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology or related field

Preferred Education

· MBA or advanced degree in Market Research
