The Investor Relations group works closely with the Company's CEO, CFO and segment leadership to communicate the company's strategy & financial results to its investors and Wall Street research community. This is accomplished through quarterly earnings calls, participation in analyst conferences/meetings and daily interaction throughout the year.
Responsibilities:The Senior Manager/Director plays an integral part in the formulation and communication of The Walt Disney Company's strategy. The role requires superior financial, modeling, accounting, strategic and team leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of the media industry and the landscape in which the company operates (which is evolving rapidly.) The individual must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior Corporate executives (including the CEO and CFO), as well as segment management and local managers at the business units. This role is a key external liaison between the company and investors, portfolio managers and analysts at sell-side and buy-side institutions.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to absorb and analyze information quickly and a keen understanding of the competitive landscape in which the company operates
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Experience working with buy or sell-side institutions and/or prior experience working for large media company
- 3-4 years of relevant post-MBA work experience
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA from a Top 10 graduate school or equivalent work experience
