The Walt Disney Company Corporate Legal Real Estate Department is seeking qualified candidates for a Paralegal position to assist attorneys with contract drafting, revising and negotiating leases, licenses, amendments, subordination non-disturbance and attornment agreements, estoppels, legal notices, purchase and sale agreements, legal research and general legal work. The paralegal position is within a department that provides legal support to all businesses and departments within The Walt Disney Company, as both landlord and tenant.
Responsibilities:Drafting, revising and negotiating legal real estate agreements, including leases, licenses, amendments, subordination non-disturbance and attornment agreements, estoppels, legal notices, purchase and sale agreements, legal research and general legal work. The position will include interacting directly with clients and opposing counsel, as well as assisting attorneys with more complex matters.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in real estate legal work with an emphasis on leasing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and contract drafting skills
- Effective organizational skills with careful attention to detail
- Must be team-oriented
- Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and reliably meet deadlines
- Ability to develop strong client relationships
- Ability to work on intermediate to complex legal matters
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013, including Microsoft Word 2013 and Microsoft Outlook 2013
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, paralegal certificate is a plus
