Job Summary:

The Corporate Legal Immigration Department provides legal advice to all business units regarding U.S. immigration-law matters, prepares immigration cases, and supervises cases assigned to outside counsel. The Senior Paralegal is responsible for detailed client communication, case analysis, and case preparation (completing government forms, drafting briefs, assembling exhibits, etc.), with emphasis on H‑1Bs and TNs for technical positions in Disney’s streaming businesses.


Apply U.S. immigration law to evaluate work-visa cases; review documents and information submitted by clients for relevance, accuracy, and completeness; communicate with team members and clients during all phases of the immigration process (e.g., to request additional information, explain potential issues and solutions, provide status updates, and answer procedural questions); enter data in case-management system; analyze wage data provided by Compensation to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Labor and USCIS regulations; draft visa petitions (government forms and persuasive briefs) and related legal documents for review by attorney; draft correspondence to clients and government agencies

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with PERM and I‑140 cases for technical positions
5+ years of experience in preparing and filing employment-based visa petitions, with emphasis on H‑1Bs and IT-related TN classifications.
Demonstrated experience and expertise in USCIS and DOL H‑1B requirements; assessing AC21-extension eligibility; independently performing prevailing wage determinations and actual wage analyses; filing LCAs;
Preparing public access files; drafting H‑1B and TN petitions, persuasive briefs and explanatory correspondence; excellent legal research skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills; preparing and organizing extremely detail-oriented documents; strong analytical and critical-thinking skills;
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and effectively with multiple team members;
Perform calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment; ability to interact with broad range of clients and business areas

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certification or equivalent experience as set forth by California Business and Profession Code, Section 6450 (c)
