- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely. A remote opportunity may be possible for qualified candidates under certain circumstances and, if granted, the employee would work remotely on an ongoing basis.

Job Summary:

  • As part of the Content Platform’s Fulfillment & Distribution team, this position will product manage individual systems that package together and distribute artwork, metadata, Audio/Video (A/V), and subtitle assets.
  • Partner closely with Localization & Content Operations teams to ensure that the tools match their needs and improve their workflow.
  • Remove bottlenecks and redundancies in the distribution pipeline so that other teams can more efficiently distribute assets to streaming platforms.
  • Analyze how the existing toolset fits into the broader ecosystem and align the product roadmap with the needs to the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview and collaborate with DMED Technology and Operations partners to understand their processes and needs and translate those into executable product strategies.
  • Identify and execute product and process improvements.
  • Work as an individual contributor to execute product strategy in collaboration with Design, Engineering, PMO, and other functional areas.
  • Write requirements and acceptance criteria for developers and quality assurance teams.
  • Plan and prioritize the feature backlog, balancing user requests against larger strategic projects.
  • Partner with other product owners to ensure individual systems achieve larger, holistic business needs.
  • Provide periodic updates/presentations on roadmaps and initiatives to DMED Technology leadership and partners.
  • Any other product duties needed to help achieve Business Objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 2+ years of technical understanding of video workflows and specifications for video content/asset management, asset ingest, packaging, and/or distribution
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and operating within large cross-functional teams
  • Ability to drive consensus and alignment on product priority objectives across engineering and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively across large teams
  • Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks, as well as product requirements for engineering
  • Adept at synthesizing and presenting data in a digestible manner to diverse audiences
  • Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented
  • Experience with Agile product development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital video supply chains and content management workflows
  • Knowledge of the specifications and formats used to distribute audio, video and subtitle/caption assets in the film and television industry
  • Knowledge regarding transcoding/encoding workflows for A/V assets
  • Knowledge of video marker requirements and workflows
  • B.S./M.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline
  • Understanding of SAFe/Agile methodologies and processes

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
