The Disney Legal and Global Affairs department seeks a Senior Specialist, Legal Operations to support Disney LGA’s Intranet and related applications which serve as the online community and information hub to equip legal teams with the information they need to guide the business.
In coordination with the Senior Manager of Knowledge and Information Services, the Senior Specialist will shape and drive- projects and initiatives to transform our legal intranet (and associated tools such as Legal Directory and our Navigator Policy Repository) in support of Inclusion and Development, Enable Business Transformation, Operational Excellence within the
Disney Legal and Global Affairs Department.
Job responsibilities include:
Analyzing the effectiveness of our current Legal Intranet and proposing recommendations for a global digital engagement plan for meeting additional and forecasted business needs.
Upon approval, socialize the vision and plan to relevant stakeholders.
Participate in projects to implement the vision (sometimes building SharePoint sites yourself).
Gather or provide requirements for the developers, test the changes, and manage the changes.
Ensure content is substantially relevant and also visually pleasing.
Manage upgrades and enhancements and ensure business continuity.
Promote the use of our Legal Intranet and tools continually and consistently to offer resources and increase regular user adoption
Stay on top of industry and digital trends to share interesting findings
This position requires significant attention to detail, stellar interpersonal skills, as well as technical curiosity and acumen. The ability to multitask is critical, as is the ability to effectively interact with clients, business partners, and internal and external vendors.
The Senior Specialist, Legal Operations is energized by continuous improvement and understands how to phase a project to achieve larger goals.
Basic Qualifications
Moderate experience using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook and Excel
Moderate experience using SharePoint 2013 or above
Demonstrated experience with project and prioritization management
Must be service focused and dedicated to making the overall project successful
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Proactive by nature and commitment to follow through
Ability to learn technologies as they become available and open to incorporate tools into current workflow
High level of organizational savvy and confidence in dealing with a varied level of legal executives and staff, Legal Operations, and Human Resources
Ability to balance business priorities while still providing an engaging employee experience
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage time, deadlines, and competing priorities
Proven use of sound judgement including appropriate escalation
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Disney department is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred experience with Legal and/or IT and/or Marketing functions

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $77,080.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
