Job Overview
The Senior Specialist, Management Operations will contribute to the delivery of projects and initiatives that will support Inclusion and Development, Enable Business Transformation, and Operational Excellence within the Disney Legal and Global Affairs Department.
This position requires significant attention to detail, stellar interpersonal skills, as well as technical curiosity and acumen. The ability to multitask is critical, as is the ability to effectively interact with clients, business partners, and internal and external vendors.
The Senior Specialist, Management Operations is energized by continuous improvement and understands how to phase a project to achieve larger goals.
Duties & responsibilities:
Understand the innovation and transformation strategy and the legal technology portfolio that ties to it.
Recognize the relationship between the legal technology portfolio to the enterprise technology portfolio.
Develop relationships with enterprise technology contacts to share information and help see around the corner.
Facilitate large, medium and small groups to collect, analyze and document requirements, information and feedback pertaining to operational and technical needs.
Execute process improvements including sophisticated change management steps.
Support DEI and L&D programs within legal including planning events, gathering feedback and partnering with teams outside of legal.
Gathering requirements and information from legal teams to inform our roadmaps and improve our offerings; summarizing and synthesizing information and providing draft recommendations; recommending communications
Reviewing document migration requirements to validate accuracy, working alongside legal teams to update their processes; and supporting DEI and Learning and Development events and planning.
Here’s what you will need to be successful in this role:
3-5 years’ work experience in legal or IT position
Demonstrated experience in leading project work and managing people
Moderate experience using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook and Excel
Demonstrated experience with project and prioritization management
Must be service focused and dedicated to making the overall project successful
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Proactive by nature and commitment to follow through
Ability to learn technologies as they become available and open to incorporate tools into current workflow
High level of organizational savvy and confidence in dealing with a varied level of legal executives and staff, Legal Operations, and Human Resources
Ability to balance business priorities while still providing an engaging employee experience
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage time, deadlines, and competing priorities
Proven use of sound judgement including appropriate escalation
It would be great if you also had these skills/experiences:
Prior experience in a Disney department is a plus
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred experience with Legal and/or IT and/or Project Management functions
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $ 77,080 to $103,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
