The General Services Enterprise Sourcing team focuses on managing the Company’s third party supplier strategy in support of Enterprise Benefits, Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Office Services, Operational Services, and various other areas. Our goal is to partner with our Corporate clients in the strategy development, analysis, selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management of our suppliers in compliance with our internal policies and procedures to drive supply chain excellence, protect the Disney brand, and mitigate risk.

The Sourcing Specialist will be part of a sourcing team responsible for sourcing & procurement activities related to various third-party corporate Office and Operational Services, including Foodservices (Cafeteria and Pantry), Office Supplies, Records Management, Mailroom, Couriers, Global Security, Crisis Management, and other services. Responsibilities include client management, category management, and supplier management, in support of the business unit and/or segment. This team member will be accountable for partnering with various stakeholders and supporting sourcing initiatives that achieve value without compromising business strategy and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and lead cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal stakeholders

  • Evaluate vendors, firms and other consultants based on established selection criteria

  • Develop and lead RFI/RFP’s process for various goods and professional services, in accordance with TWDC policy and procedures

  • Analyze bids based on total cost/supply to identify opportunities to achieve optimal value

  • Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology

  • Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration (e.g. negotiating, issuing change orders, contract closeouts)

  • Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness, and cost

  • Ensure compliance with Disney policies and Sourcing best practices

  • Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making

  • Analyze market industry trends and conditions that affect internal stakeholders and external suppliers and/or pricing

  • Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices

  • Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances

Required Skills:

  • Ideal candidate will have 2+years’ experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement environment

  • Strong project management experience, capable of leading and managing an array of initiatives from project initiation through final presentation

  • Ability to interact with and establish relationships with employees at all levels

  • Ability to analyze complex processes and lead workgroups to help resolve problem areas

  • Demonstrated capacity to influence future clients at all levels in the organization

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi stakeholder environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic


Competencies:
Knowledge of:

  • Sourcing & Procurement processes

  • Sourcing tools and programs

  • Basic legal terms & conditions

  • CPM or similar certification

Required Education:

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management or other quantitative discipline

Preferred Education:

  • MBA a plus

The hiring range for this position in California is $77,080.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
