Job Summary:

The Senior Business Systems Delivery Analyst (Sr BSDA) is a member of an Agile team dedicated to the analysis, planning, implementation, and support of technology-related projects and business systems for Partners Federal Credit Union. The Sr BSDA provides subject matter expertise, analysis, vendor due diligence, and operational support for PFCU’s complex business systems. In the role of a Scrum Master, the Sr. BSDA will mentor the Agile team and vendor resources to successfully complete projects with adhering to defined Agile best practices. The primary objective is to assist the PFCU business units in achieving their goals via technology.

The Sr. BSDA:
- Provides 2nd level advance support and establishes / participates in appropriate coverage for support of complex systems. This includes problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, and major incident management.
​​​​​​- Managing the day-to-day operational aspects for the Agile team by facilitating agile scrum/ activities and meetings, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Partner with business partners to understand their goals and assist them by providing with either process solutions and/or technology solutions.
- Has deep understanding of PFCU products and services and is considered a Subject matter Expert on assigned applications.
- Provides analysis, planning, implementation, and support to technology related projects and business systems for Partners Federal Credit Union.
- Present information and make recommendations to Product Owner regarding technology options.
- Has a deep understanding of the technologies used across PFCU.
- Able to create a replica of the problem reported to determine the root cause and solution.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of 3rd party technologies used in all internally developed applications. Fosters vendor relationships and completes annual vendor due diligence assignments.
- Shares technical expertise, serving as a mentor and trainer for other IT team members.
-Partner with cross-functional IT and Business Stakeholders/Team Members to ensure alignment with business process mapping technical design specifications.
-Conduct system gap analysis, analyze requirements, create/document/execute/deliver various project artifacts: User Stories/Backlog/Requirements, User Stories Acceptance Criteria (UAT Test Cases, and Test Scripts), Data Mapping, and other functional configuration documentation as needed.
- Manage project financials- project budget and forecast for IT resources, hardware, software, and labor.
-Conduct cost-benefit analysis for projects, validate cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, and Product owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing consistent and accurate estimation of Story Points
  • Planning appropriately for fly-ins
  • Assist the product owner with program, project, and product updates as well as backlog grooming.
  • Partner with team members to ensure clarity of needs and plan for changes, updates, and new products.
  • Updating task progress within JIRA
    • Completed tasks are updated with a basic description of what was completed and where to find the output
    • In-progress multi-day tasks are updated daily to indicate what has been done and what remains to be completed on the task; including any roadblocks to progress
    • Sr BSDA creates timely responses to notes from other team members
  • Completing tasks per sprint plan
  • Create high-level, detailed schedules and timelines to ensure on-time iterative releases
  • Documenting completed tasks appropriately in an area accessible to the team and the manager of the Sr BSDA
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of assignments and asks appropriate clarifying questions of business resources in addition to team and manager
  • Understands how the task supports the goals of the business partners
  • Competent in some of the intermediate functions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook along with JIRA and Confluence
  • Understands the advanced functions of supported systems
  • Take a proactive approach to manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, provide identification, coordination, mitigation, or escalation as necessary
  • Proactively identifies problems before there is a significant business area impact
  • Works with business areas to quickly create viable workarounds to minimize downtime
  • Quickly identifies the root cause of outages and problems and shares that information with IT downtime reporting team
  • Effectively manages incidents by communicating clearly with vendors, other IT areas, and the affected business groups - incident management cited by another group as being strong.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Financial Services experience
  • Demonstrates experience in software test and quality assurance to validate product functionality and compliance specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Effective communication skills: verbal, non-verbal and written; and ability to communicate on all levels of the organization
  • Analytical thinking and ability to interface effectively and establish quick credibility with different business areas

  • Experience at Partners Federal Credit Union
  • Proficiency with MS SQL Server 2012 or higher
